Vintage French cotton reels
After picking up some necessities at a supermarket near my Mum’s today, I stumbled upon these little beauties.
They are vintage cotton reels (11cm high) from a recently closed French mill. I adore the colours and the rustic nature of them.
I expect these reels will be for display purposes only. I can see hours of fun arranging and rearranging…
And such pretty colours! Nice find.
I’m thrilled with today’s haul. Can’t stop ooohing and aaahing every-time I see them. Simple pleasures.

Oh, I love those! I have a few small ones, old with silk thread. What are you going to do with them?
The reels will just be for display. They are currently in the master bedroom on the mantle-piece. We are renovating, okay it’s probably more of a rebuild, so when we move back into our ‘normal house’ I will find a super fabulous place to display them for all to enjoy.
